Partners

The landing page for Partners displays a table-view of all Partners within the database. This table lists the Partner Number, Name, Kind, Tags, and Date/Time Updated for each Partner entry. The list can be sorted alphanumerically by Partner Number or Name, or chronologically by Date/Time Updated, and results can be narrowed by using the search bar above the table. Existing Partners can be viewed or edited by clicking their title. New Partners can be created by clicking “New Partner” in the top right corner.

After a blank Partner entry has loaded, users can input, edit, or view the following:

*Particle field: This is for grammatical particle words that join the last name to the first name. Usage varies among languages. In German, French, Italian, Spanish, and Portuguese these usually indicate nobility. In Dutch, the words are “tussenvoegsel” which are very common such as “van” or “der”. In English this is almost always “of”. If it is contracted to the last name, such as O’Sullivan, leave the particle blank and put it in the Last Name. These words are considered part of the surname but not capitalized or taken into account with alphabetizing, so they should be placed here rather than in the middle or last name fields, such as the “van” in Ludwig van Beethoven.
